“then the people who feared the Lord spoke to one another, and the Lord listened and heard what they said. In his presence, a record of those who feared the Lord and respected him was written down in a book…” Malachi 3:16( GNT)

Having established the importance of deliberately having conversations that are full of faith in the first part of this article, you must take this very seriously. Remember, we saw in the book of Malachi 3:16, where the Bible said “…then the people who feared the Lord spoke to one another, and the Lord listened and heard what they said. In his presence, there was written down in a book a record of those who feared the Lord and respected him…” Malachi 3:16( NKJV).

From this very scripture, we see that God pays attention to our conversations but unfortunately, many believers today are not conscious of this truth so they have careless discussions both with themselves and others. And the sad thing about these discussions is that sometimes, they are not borne out of faith and they don’t edify or bring God glory. In most cases, all some people do is complain against God or talk against the church of God, men of God and other believers. But the question is, is this how God wants us to live our lives? The answer is a big No.

God is not against you having certain discussions with others, but at the same time, he doesn’t want your discussions to be such that they castigate or malign others. He doesn’t want our conversations to be full of fear but faith in Him. He doesn’t want your conversations to be empty but such that they give Him glory and edify. Therefore, it is important that you become conscious of the conversations that you are having. Sometimes, the devil may tempt you to make certain wrong statements but don’t give in to them. Instead, deliberately have faith-filled conversations with yourself and others, knowing very well that God is listening and taking records. Halleluiah!
