“…as he thinks in his heart so is He…” Proverbs 23:7 (NKJV)
Having established the truth about mind limitations and how to overcome them, we will now look at a case study from the scriptures. The Bible records the story of a man named Gideon. An angel of the Lord visited Gideon and related with Him according to the way heaven saw him; however, Gideon responded the way he saw himself, which was a sharp contrast to how God saw him.
This was the conversation “…the angel of the Lord appeared to him, and said to him, “The Lord is with you, you mighty man of valor” Gideon said to Him, “O my Lord, if the Lord is with us, why then has all this happened to us? And where are all His miracles which our fathers told us about, saying, did not the Lord bring us up from Egypt? But now the Lord has forsaken us and delivered us into the hands of the Midianites. Then the Lord turned to him and said, “Go in this might of yours and you shall save Israel from the hand of the Midianites. Have I not sent you? So he said to Him, “O my Lord how can I save Israel? Indeed my clan is the weakest in Manasseh, and I am the least in my father’s house” And the Lord said to HIM, “Surely I will be with you, and you shall defeat the Midianites as one man…” Judges 6:13-16 (NKJV) Did you see that? Gideon saw himself as the least in his father’s house which was from the weakest clan in Manasseh, but God saw him as a mighty man of valor who was able to save Israel. God saw Gideon as a savior; Gideon saw himself as a failure.
This is the case with many of God’s people today. But that’s why He gave us His word, so that we can begin to see and perceive things the way He does and not be limited by our minds. So, renew your mind with God’s word today and break free from all limitations of the mind. Hallelujah!
