“…for I also am a man placed under authority, having soldiers under me. And I say to one, ‘Go,’ and he goes; and to another, ‘Come,’ and he comes; and to my servant, ‘Do this,’ and he does it…”
— Luke 7:8 (NKJV)
Many struggle with the concept of authority, especially when it comes to submitting entirely to God’s instructions. In an earthly army, soldiers understand that they must follow the orders of their commander without hesitation. Opinions and personal preferences don’t factor into the equation because the structure of the army is built on obedience and trust in leadership.
Likewise, the Kingdom of God operates under divine authority. Yet, many believers hesitate to follow God’s instructions, opting instead to lean on their understanding or feelings. This mindset often stems from a lack of understanding about God’s intentions. Some think obeying God’s commands restricts their freedom, but this couldn’t be further from the truth.
God, in His wisdom, created us for His purposes and gave us the ability to choose. His commands aren’t about control but about providing a path to life and blessing. When we choose to obey Him, we align ourselves with His perfect will, unlocking His grace and favor. On the other hand, choosing disobedience leads to consequences that are far from His plans for us.
Beloved, remember that in this Kingdom, we don’t live by our moral views or opinions; we live by the instructions of God. Obeying Him is not only an act of trust but also a key to experiencing the fullness of His blessings. You may not always understand why God instructs you a certain way, but His wisdom far surpasses human reasoning. Submit to His authority, follow His commands, and you’ll see His faithfulness manifest in your life.
Today’s Rhema
In this Kingdom, we don’t live by our moral views but by God’s instructions!
Confession for the Day
Father, I am grateful for Your grace and mercy towards me. I receive wisdom today to follow Your word in obedience, and as I do, the blessings of obedience are activated in every area of my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
