“…that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings…” Philippians 3:10 (NKJV)

After many years of preaching the Gospel and walking with Christ, Paul the apostle said, “…all I want is to know Christ and to experience the power of His resurrection…”Philippians 3:10 (GNT). Now, one would expect that he already knows Jesus but with all he knew, he desired to know him more. Beloved, if there is anything you must crave beyond just receiving Jesus Christ into your life, is to know Him more and understand His personality. If you want your life to be that of the miraculous, you must make up your mind to develop an insatiable appetite for the master. Crave to know Him like never before and your life will not remain the same. Refuse to stop by just accepting Him as the Lord of your life. Get to know Him and what He wants from you so that your walk with Him will be based on revelation.

Our Lord Jesus Christ is an excellent personality and when you know Him, your life can only be filled with excellence. So I admonish you to desire to know Him more. It will change your perspective about Him, reveal His heart towards you, and improve your relationship with Him. I have heard people say, I want Jesus Christ to draw me closer to Himself. But you see, if you desire to know Him more, you will be the one going close to Him. So get to work and get busy. When you desire to know Him more, you will do the needful. Interestingly, when you begin to tow this part, you will face a lot of resistance because the devil does not want you to know God more. After all, that will be dangerous for him. However, your responsibility is to resist the devil and his activities and continue in your quest to know Him. Halleluiah!

Don’t only receive Jesus into your life, desire to know Him more!

Today, I receive the grace, the desire and the passion for knowing Jesus more and as I do this, I come against every resistance and opposition to this in Jesus name. Amen!
