“Oh, that men would give thanks to the Lord for His goodness, and for His wonderful works to the children of men! For He satisfies the longing soul, and fills the hungry soul with goodness.” Psalm 107:8-9 (NKJV)

Sometimes, when you examine the way most Christians handle their difficult moments, the only question you might want to ask them is, “Has God not been faithful?” Why? Because they magnify their problems and make it look as though God has not done anything in their lives. You see them looking discouraged, without any zeal or enthusiasm for life. They make it seem as though the world has come to an end, even though they could handle the situation more maturely, and no one would know what they are going through. But instead, they want the whole world to know. Interestingly, when you speak about this, they get offended because they feel you don’t understand what they are going through, unaware that many others are facing far worse conditions.

Beloved, God does not want us to respond to our situations like this because it reveals spiritual immaturity. You must understand that as a mature Christian, there is a way to respond to challenges. You don’t put your struggles on display for everyone to see. Remember, no matter how much you publicize your hardship, it will not bring you a reward, nor will it solve the problem. Instead, change your approach and respond maturely. The Bible says, “You therefore must endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ” (2 Timothy 2:3 NKJV). And in James 1:2-4, it says, “Count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.” Did you see that?

Stop magnifying your problems and start counting your blessings. Acknowledge God’s involvement in your life and praise Him for it. Give all the glory to Him because He deserves it. Proclaim His faithfulness in your life and watch how your life moves from glory to glory.

Today’s Rhema

Handle your challenges with maturity, and let your actions proclaim the faithfulness of God!

Confession for the Day

Glorious Father, I acknowledge Your involvement in my life, and I refuse to allow my situation to take the glory that should be ascribed to You. I will continually speak of Your faithfulness and proclaim Your kindness in my words and actions, in Jesus’ name. Amen!
