“…let us not give up the habit of meeting together, as some are doing. Instead, let us encourage one another all the more since you see that the Day of the Lord is coming nearer…” Hebrews 10:25 (GNT)

Over the years, I’ve noticed that some believers prefer to isolate themselves. They’d rather not associate with other believers or have anyone they associate with and when you ask them why, they say this is how they like it. But the question is, is this what God wants? Is this God’s plan for us as believers? The answer is a big No. As much as you want to be alone and do things on your own, you must understand the importance of associating with other believers. The Bible says, “…let us not give up the habit of meeting together, as some are doing. Instead, let us encourage one another all the more since you see that the Day of the Lord is coming nearer…” Hebrews 10:25 (GNT).

In the Amplified classic version, it says “…‭‭not forsaking or neglecting to assemble together [as believers], as is the habit of some people, but admonishing (warning, urging, and encouraging) one another, and all the more faithfully as you see the day approaching…” Hebrews 10:25 (AMPC) Did you see that? It shows us God’s stand on this matter. It means that God does not want us walking or operating alone. He wants us to associate with other believers because there are lots of benefits that follow when we do.  Therefore, I encourage you to take this counsel seriously and stop seeking to be alone. It is true that there are some people out there who are bad influences, but through discernment, you can know the right people to do things with. But say no to walking alone.

Today’s Rhema

Associating with other believers has benefits that will be a huge blessing to you!

Confession for the Day

Light has come to me today, therefore I decree that I will never walk alone or subject myself to any form of isolation. I choose to associate with other God-fearing and God-loving believers and as I do, I walk in the blessings that it brings in Jesus name. Amen!
