“…be strong. Take courage. Don’t be intimidated. Don’t give them a second thought because God, your God is striding ahead of you. He is right there with you. He won’t let you down; He won’t leave you”- Deuteronomy 31:6 (MSG)
“I’m unable to go to school because we do not have money”, “I cannot be at church today because I have no money”, ”I cannot go out today because I do not feel fine”. You hear these and many more from the mouths of many people today, because that is all that they see. They have accepted their situations and have concluded in their inability to do certain things because they do not have the means. So, any time you hear them speak, they always voice their inability to do a particular thing because they feel that they cannot. They have unconsciously allowed themselves to be intimidated by their problems.
However, the truth remains that this is not the life God has called us to live. As a child of God, you must correct your thinking in this area. Don’t give credit to your challenges, do not let them become your dictator, you are still the one in charge. It is true that life is not without its challenges, but when you go through one, do not allow it to intimidate or incapacitate you. Refuse to allow the challenges of life to dictate for you the things you can or cannot do. That is a place of terrible limitation. That you are facing a challenge does not mean you have failed. Challenges do not connote failure; they are only the setup for success. As a matter of fact, when you go through challenges, it means you are a candidate for success. Stop using the problems you face as an excuse not to perform or achieve the things that you need to achieve. People who use their problems as an excuse for non-performance always end up as failures, so you must avoid this and do the right thing. Praise God!

Confession for the Day
No matter what I face or go through, I refuse to be intimidated by the challenges that come my way, because greater is He that is in me than He that is the world; and the grace to overcome is at work in my life in Jesus’ name. Amen!
