“…now it come to pass, as they went that He entered into a certain village: and a certain woman named Martha received Him into her house. And she had a sister called Mary, which also sat at Jesus’ Feet, and heard his word…” Luke 10:38-39 (KJV)

Beloved, have you personalized your relationship with our Lord Jesus? If the answer is No, then you should because that is what our Lord Jesus Christ wants from you. I have taken out time to study the lifestyle of Jesus Christ and I discovered that our Lord loves personal relationships. He does all He can to help you know Him better, He warms up to you so you can see who He really is. At a certain time, He warmed up with Nathaniel and changed his life. The Bible recorded that “When Jesus saw him approaching He said to him, “Here truly is an Israelite in whom there is no deceit.” How do you know me? Nathanael asked. Jesus answered, “I saw you while you were still under the fig tree before Philip called you.” John 1:47. This event changed Nathanael’s life completely. Jesus didn’t leave him to try to figure out who He was in the crowd, instead He extended a hand to Nathanael to make him comfortable. And so He does with every one of us.

At another time, a man called Zacchaeus wanted to know who Jesus was, but because he was of short stature and could not see because of the large crowd, he climbed a tree just to see Jesus. But Jesus discovered Zacchaeus while he was on the tree and gave him special attention. “When Jesus reached the spot, he looked up and said to him, “Zacchaeus, hurry and come down because today I must stay at your house.” Luke 19:5 (NIV). Zacchaeus was so glad that after that day he became a new person. This account and more shows us the kind of person our Lord Jesus Christ is. And it brings me to the question, “what kind of relationship are you having with the Lord Jesus? Have you become personal with Him?” Jesus wants to sit and dine with you; He wants to have a one-on-one conversation with you. He wants you to know Him more. He wants you to discover Him beyond the written pages of the Bible. There are so many things the Bible never wrote about Jesus Christ, and only a close and personal relationship with Him, can help you discover them. So, get to work today, get close to Him, because it’s time to be closer to the Lord. Hallelujah!

TODAY’S RHEMA

Don’t be distant from the Lord, He wants a close relationship!

CONFESSION FOR THE DAY

Dear Heavenly Father, I thank you for helping me understand the importance of getting to know my Lord and savior better. Therefore, I declare that a special place for the Lord is created in my heart and by reason of this, deliberate efforts will be made to give more time and attention in getting to know He who has brought me life. Praise God!
