…for God is with those who obey Him. —Psalm 14:5 (GNT)

Sometimes the devil tries to make believers feel that there are no benefits in obeying the Lord, and he has succeeded in making some believe that there are no blessings attached. So you hear them say things like, I have been praying consistently as the Scriptures encourage, I have been giving my tithe as well, and serving diligently in the house of the Lord, but what benefit has it been to me?

Well, no matter what the devil tries to put in your heart regarding obedience to God, you must never give in. Those negative thoughts are lies the enemy wants you to believe. They are not true and should never be entertained. Obedience to God has great benefits, and it always pays at different points in your life. The results may not immediately show, but they will eventually manifest. You just have to be diligent enough to keep doing what you are doing for God and with God.

The greatest benefit of obedience is that God will always be with you. According to our opening text, God is with those who obey Him. —Psalm 14:5 (GNT). Did you see that? When God is with you, everything around you ends in praise and testimonies. The Bible spoke of Joseph, saying, The Lord was with Joseph and made him successful. He lived in the house of his Egyptian master, who saw that the Lord was with Joseph and had made him successful in everything he did. —Genesis 39:2–3 (GNT). Do you know why God was with Joseph? He was obedient to God. So never get tired of walking in obedience—the rewards will always follow.

Today’s Rhema

As long as you don’t give up on obeying the Lord, you will always walk in the blessings of obedience!

Confession For The Day

Father, I am grateful for this wonderful and exciting truth. I choose today to walk in obedience to You, and as I do this, I am walking in the blessings of obedience, in Jesus’ name. Amen!
