At every turn, the devil tries to bring accusations against you and heap guilt upon your conscience. He wants you to believe you can never break free because of the “legal grounds” he claims to have. But here’s the good news: Jesus has already nailed every charge the enemy held against you to the cross.
After disarming the principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in the cross — (Colossians 2:15 TLV)
Did you see that? The record of debt—and every hostile decree—was canceled and driven out of your life by Christ’s sacrifice. He didn’t stop there: He disarmed the rulers of darkness and showcased His victory over them, all at the cross.
As a believer, your part is simply to stand firm on this truth and live in the freedom it provides. Resist the lies of condemnation and pray for God’s mercy to uphold you. Jesus has done the heavy lifting; your responsibility is to believe it and align your life with His finished work. Hallelujah!
Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit — (Romans 8:1 NKJV)
Walk in the Spirit, not the flesh, knowing that every legal claim the devil thought he had has been nailed to the cross.
