“And these signs shall follow those who believe: in my name, they shall cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover…” — Mark 16:17-18 (NKJV)

Having established the importance of putting your rights in Christ to work, you must take this seriously because the victories and liberty you will enjoy in Christ Jesus depend on this. The mistake too many believers make is that they fold their hands and do nothing with the rights given to them in Christ. Something as simple as speaking to their bodies in faith, they will not do it. Instead, they prefer to go to the pharmacy because they don’t think speaking to their bodies will work.

I have seen this with many believers, and their lack of exercising their rights has robbed them of many blessings and benefits. Beloved, until you begin to put your rights to work in Christ Jesus, you cannot see the promises of God come to pass in your life. You might ask, “But what if I put these rights to work and it doesn’t work? What happens?” Well, this has been the problem—the reason why many believers don’t put their rights to work. They keep thinking it might not work, but that is not how God has designed it to be.

You are expected to keep putting that right to work until it gives you the results you want to see. You don’t stop because it isn’t working; you only stop when the results you’re looking for have manifested. This is the right attitude and mindset you must possess regarding this matter.

I remember a testimony given by one of our members in church some years ago. She heard about her rights in Christ one day in church, and that season, she found herself becoming sick to the point she could not get up from the bed or do things by herself. Then she remembered the message of her rights in Christ, and she decided to exercise those rights and rebuke the sickness. She did it in faith, and by morning, she was completely made free. Why? Because she decided to exercise her authority in Christ Jesus.

You can do the same thing she did. Do not keep quiet and watch the devil destroy things in your home. Put him where he belongs by exercising your authority in Christ Jesus, “…lest Satan should take advantage of us; for we are not ignorant of his devices” — 2 Corinthians 2:11 (NKJV). Hallelujah!

Today’s Rhema

In Christ Jesus you have rights, believe it, accept it, and exercise it, and your life will move from glory to glory!

Confession for the Day

My life is hidden with Christ in God, I am not ordinary because Christ lives in me by His Spirit. Therefore, I declare that I am making use of my rights in Christ Jesus and breaking forward in all things in the name of Jesus. Amen!
