“…thus says the Lord: “Stand in the ways and see, And ask for the old paths, where the good way is, And walk in it; Then you will find rest for your souls. But they said, ‘We will not walk in it…“Jeremiah 6:16 (NKJV)

Our world today is filled with so many new-age teachings that claim to point people to God but in the long run, it points them to the devil. Unfortunately, many of God’s people have fallen prey to these kinds of teachings that claim to show people a new way to worship and attain spiritual heights. You can imagine when people are made to believe that the sun can be worshiped or that the earth can be worshiped or that things that are an abomination before God are now okay to get involved in. Funny enough, you can see how they are trying to twist a lie to make it look like the truth but still many of God’s people are not able to discern the truth because they have abandoned the ancient path that has been laid aside for us to follow.

Beloved, if you want to spend your eternity with God, you must become mindful of all these new-age teachings that are leading men astray. You must understand that these teachings are the devil’s handwork to turn men away from God and lead them to destruction. Sadly, on the last day, there will be no excuse for falling for the wrong teachings. Therefore, to avoid falling prey to these kinds of treacherous teachings, it is better to locate the ancient path and follow it. The ancient path has been the path that the people of old followed and they served God without falling into error. They served God wholeheartedly and they saw a lot of results. Today, many people want to follow the new path and get the results of the ancient path. It doesn’t work that way. So, I admonish you today to follow the ancient path so that you do not fall into error. In the days of the Bible, a similar thing was almost taking place and God had to admonish the brethren saying, “Stand in the ways and see, And ask for the old paths, where the good way is, And walk in it; Then you will find rest for your souls…” Jeremiah 6:16 (NKJV). This was God’s counsel to them, and this counsel remains true today. Go for the ancient path, discover it, and continue on that path and you will find rest for your soul. Anything that contradicts the truth you have always known should not be taken seriously. Hallelujah!

TODAY’S RHEMA

The ancient path will always lead you to God but the new path will lead you astray!

CONFESSION FOR THE DAY

Father, I am grateful for opening my eyes to this truth. I choose this day to hang on to the old path and to follow it diligently. I refuse to be misled by any of those evil teachings out there in the name of Jesus. Amen!
