“…where there is no vision, the people perish…” Proverbs 29:18 (KJV)
As you journey through life, one of the major questions you should always ask yourself is, where is my life headed? The path I am taking right now in my life, does it have a future? As simple as these questions are, they are very important and instrumental to helping us lead a life that has a future. Sadly, not many take these things into consideration today. They live only for today and forget that there is a future that awaits them because they don’t stop to ask themselves these questions.
However, as a Christian it is important that you consider these questions from time to time, because they will help you to stay on track in life. So many of God’s people are suffering in their lives today because they lived mindlessly in the years past. So, they are having to suffer now because the life they lived yesterday didn’t have room for securing the future.
I encourage you to meditate on these truths. Sit back and try to find out if you are on track. Consider the life you are living today and ask yourself if it has a future. Find out if your lifestyle today is helping your future or destroying it. If not, consider making the necessary changes while you still have time. Remember the future is a result of the inputs of today. If the inputs are wrong, then the future will certainly be wrong.
If you are in a relationship, find out if the relationship has a future. If you are working or going to school, find out if what you are doing has a future. If you are able to do this and sincerely make necessary changes, I assure you that you will certainly save yourself from having an embarrassing future. The Bible says, “…Whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things…” Philippians 4:8 (KJV) Praise God!
Today’s Rhema
The future is always the result of the inputs of yesterday; so, spend today wisely to avoid a future you did not bargain for!
Confession for the Day
Thank you, Heavenly Father, for revealing to me the truth about my future, I declare that I am positioned to thread on the right path in my life. I refuse to thread on paths that will endanger my future, I refuse to engage in activities that will bring ruin to my future. So, by the power of the Holy Ghost, I am on track from this day forward and beyond in the name of Jesus. Amen!
