“…let go of your concerns! Then you will know that I am God. I rule the nations. I rule the earth…” —Psalm 46:10 (GW)
As long as you live as a child of God, you will have a choice to make about who will be the God of your life. You will have to choose either to let God be God in your life or to let other things be God in your life. The decision you make at this point will determine the outcome of your life. The reason is that the choices you make in your life go a long way toward determining what becomes of you. So, the question is, will you let God take His place in your life or not? I know someone might say, “Well, I will always choose God.” But the truth is, that is not always the case in our world today.
Each day that passes, we are faced with many things that challenge this decision in our lives. When business opportunities come up and you need to be in church for worship, which do you choose? When certain offers come to you and you know that they may take you farther away from God, do you reject such opportunities and choose God, or will you embrace that opportunity? Over the years, many of God’s people have always chosen opportunities over God, and this is not how it is supposed to be. You must understand that every time you go after opportunities that will pull you away from God, you have rejected God. So, to avoid such, you must make a conscious decision to allow God to be God over your life. Sometimes, the challenge people face in this area is the issue of trust. Many do not trust God enough to give them better opportunities that will enable them to serve God better, but this issue of trust shouldn’t be there at all. If we can trust pilots to carry us to our destinations without seeing their certificates or seeing them personally, then we should be able to trust God for better opportunities. If we can give so much faith to a man we don’t know or cannot see, what about God?
So, I admonish you today to let God take the lead in your life. You must understand that God is the pilot of our lives; he leads us and shows us the way. He tells us where to go and where not to go. Therefore, let Him take the lead in your life.
Today’s Rhema
No matter the opportunities that come your way, God is able to give you better opportunities if you choose Him and trust Him!
Confession for the Day
I declare today that God has taken the wheel of my life and because He has taken it am not dragging it with Him. I have let go of my will for God, because He is trusted to lead me home, more than I could ever try to do in the name of Jesus.
