“…I correct and discipline everyone I love. So be diligent and turn from your indifference…” Revelation 3:19 (NLT)

A mistake once made can cost you something and sometimes can cost you everything. This is why it’s expected that if you have made a mistake before; you should learn from it so that you don’t have to pay for the same mistakes again. But if nothing is learnt, you would have to pay again. You have got to understand that making mistakes is allowed, but making the same mistakes, again and again, is a fool’s errand. The reason we make mistakes is to learn from them, receive experience and become perfect in what we do. So that we will be able to teach others and help them avoid such mistakes. But a man who keeps making mistakes in his decisions, in his life will never be able to move forward. And I don’t think it’s possible for him to be able to complete any task or a mission. He will not be able to build a perfect house if his foundation is filled with mistakes, because such houses will not stand the storm when it comes. So you have to work on learning from your mistakes to avoid repeating the same mistakes.

The year is still fresh and we don’t want to remain where we have always been, we want to go forward, and make progress, but if that will happen, we have to analyze the things we did previously that didn’t work or the things we didn’t do properly and look for an alternative way of getting things done. We don’t want to run a fool’s errand, for the Bible encourages us to turn away from our indifference (Read Revelation 3:19 (NLT). So you are to work differently this year and see to it that you do not repeat the mistakes of yester years. Interestingly, if you are intentional about this, your output this year will be very different. The question is, what will you do differently this year? What adjustments will be made to ensure that the mistakes of yesterday are not repeated today? Think about this and do the needful. Hallelujah!
