“…I will sacrifice to you with the voice of thanksgiving; I will pay what I have vowed. Salvation is of the Lord…” Jonah 2:9 (NKJV)

Now, when I said take a break from asking the Lord in the previous article, I’m not saying stop praying. Am only saying concerning that matter you have been asking God about, stop asking and start thanking Him, because from the very first day you started praying about that issue God heard you, so start thanking Him now sincerely from the depth of your heart.

I remember some years ago; a dear sister came to me saying she had a domestic accident some time ago that affected the nerves in her hands so that she couldn’t move her hands again. So, we prayed and after a week, she came back saying nothing happened. Then we prayed again and this time, I was so sure that she would be healed but guess what she came back saying the story was the same.

Now, I was concerned, so I said “let’s pray again”, as I held hands with her to pray, the Holy Spirit said stop, you have prayed enough. Now, is the time to thank God for the healing. I told her that this was what the Holy Spirit was saying, and we decided to thank God for the healing. Remember, when we were doing this, there was no change, but we just decided to thank God anyway. Two weeks later, she came back saying the hands were perfect now. She was so excited because her hands returned to normal. The question is when did this healing take place? It was the moment we decided to thank God.

So, I admonish you today to know when to ask God and when to thank Him. Many are not receiving the answers to their prayers most times, because all they do is ask and they never give thanks for receiving. However, you must understand that when you start thanking God for the things you have asked for, that is you putting your faith to work because thanking God in advance for something you are trusting Him for, is purely an act of faith. Hallelujah!

Today’s Rhema

Thanking God in advance for something you are trusting Him for is purely an act of faith!

Confession for the Day

Father, am grateful for teaching me the word, I declare that as I put this truth to work, I am receiving better results in my prayer life and things are changing around me in the name of Jesus. Amen!
