“…Imitate me, just as I also imitate Christ…”I Corinthians 11:1 (NKJV)

One of the things you will notice in the business world today is that they imitate one another. Interestingly, they imitate products that have done well in the market because they stand a better chance at success by following a proven product or style of marketing.

In the same way, you ought to imitate the Lord Jesus Christ in your spiritual walk. He is one person who came and walked in perfection. He was perfect in the way He prayed, spoke and dealt with people. He was perfect in the way He approached the things of God. And He showed us an example of the things we ought to take as priority in life.

Therefore, it is important that as you journey in your walk with God that you study the ministry of Jesus Christ closely so that you can emulate Him. Now, the question is, why should you do this? It’s very simple. Jesus Christ “…is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist. And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence…” Colossians 1:15‭-‬18 (NKJV). Did you see that? So, pattern your life according to Him.

Today’s Rhema

When you imitate Christ, your results will certainly come out right!

Confession for the Day

Thank you Heavenly Father for this wonderful light you have shed on my understanding. I make a conscious decision to not just follow Jesus but imitate Him in all things. And as I do this, I am fruitful and productive in life in Jesus name. Amen!
