Jesus said to her, “Did I not say to you that if you would believe you would see the glory of God?” —John 11:40 (NKJV)
In our opening scripture, we see our Lord Jesus Christ speaking to Martha, the sister of Lazarus. At this point, Lazarus had been dead for four days, and Jesus, standing at the tomb, asked that the stone be rolled away. Martha knew the Master well, yet she could not believe that anything could be done about her brother because death had already taken place. But Jesus reminded her that belief was the key to seeing the glory of God.
Often, many of us behave like Martha. We believe in God, yet we struggle to have faith for a turnaround in matters we consider already lost. In our minds, it feels too late because the inevitable has happened. However, from Martha’s story we learn that God delights in revealing His glory in the very situations we call impossible. He shows Himself mighty in the matters we consider irreversible or beyond help.
Just as Jesus said to Martha, He says to us today: if you believe, you will see the glory of God. It is not difficult to see His power revealed in our lives; the only requirement is faith. We must trust that He is able and willing to do exceedingly, abundantly, above all we can ask or imagine. Our God is great beyond measure. His power has no limits, and His ability has no bounds.
Therefore, let us put our faith in Him in every matter—whether simple or impossible. He has experience handling all cases, and there is absolutely nothing He cannot do. This is your time to see His glory revealed in your situation. Amen!
Today’s Rhema
Our God is greater than the challenges we face; let us have faith in Him, not in the ability of the adversary.
Confession for the Day
Thank You, Holy Father, for bringing light to my spirit through Your Word and for showing me that You always desire to reveal Yourself in my situations. I declare that my trust and faith are in You alone. Doubt has no place in me, in Jesus’ name. Amen!
