Jesus said to her, “Did I not say to you that if you would believe you would see the glory of God?” —John 11:40 (NKJV)
In our opening scripture, we see Jesus speaking to Martha, the sister of Lazarus. At this point, Lazarus had been dead for four days. The Master stood at the burial place, asking for the stone to be removed from the cave. Even though Martha knew Him well, she did not believe anything more could be done because her brother was already dead.
However, the Lord told her she would see the glory of God only if she believed. Many of us behave like Martha. We believe in God, yet we struggle to have the faith required for a turnaround in specific matters. In our minds, we think it is already too late because the inevitable has taken place.
From Martha’s story, we learn that God takes pleasure in revealing His glory in matters we think are impossible. The Savior delights in showing Himself in issues that seem complicated or unapproachable. Just as He said to Martha, the same is being said to us today: “If you believe, you will see the glory of God.”
It is not a difficult thing to see His power revealed in our lives. We must simply believe that He can and will. We must trust in His ability to do exceedingly and abundantly above all we could ask or imagine. Our God is a great God, and His power has no limit.
His greatness knows no bounds. Let us put our faith in Him in all matters—difficult or easy, possible or impossible. He has experience handling every case, and there is nothing He cannot do. Let God reveal His glory in your life today, for it is your appointed time to receive answers to your prayers. Amen!
Today’s Rhema
Our God is greater than the challenges we face; let us have faith in Him rather than in the ability of the adversary.
