“…Lord, I knew you to be a hard man, reaping where you have not sown and gathering where you have scattered seed. And I was afraid, and went and hid your talent in the ground…” Matthew 25:24-25 (NKJV)

In the first part of this article, we established the importance of having no regrets as you journey in your walk with God, because that is not God’s plan for your life and to do this effectively, you must eradicate all forms of complaints and learn to make do with what you have and move on. Now, you might say but sir, how can I easily do this, considering the pain that one has to go through because of the happenings of the past? Well, I understand that it is not an easy task but the truth remains that if you make up your mind you will surely have no regrets. All you need to do is take these two steps.

Number one, make a conscious decision to let go of the past because there is really nothing you can do about it. The major reason people have regrets is because the negative happenings of the past remain fresh in their minds which ought not to be so. Make a conscious decision to let go and there will be no reason to have regrets. Secondly, make a conscious decision to learn from the mistakes of the past and have a solid plan for the future. When you are busy pursuing the future plans you won’t have any reason to have regrets. So, I admonish you today to take advantage of these few thoughts. If you can take these two steps diligently, you will be amazed at how it will work wonders in your life. Paul the apostle, had a very wonderful revelation regarding this and he said, “…one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus…” Philippians 3:13-14 (NIV). Did you see that? So press on and keep moving forward. Praise God!

TODAY’S RHEMA

Keep your focus on the future and not on the past!

CONFESSION FOR THE DAY

By the power of the Holy Spirit, I refuse to set my focus on what lies behind but on what lies ahead. I choose to be optimistic and positive because I know that against all odds, I am breaking forward by the power of the Holy Spirit that is at work in me. Amen!
