…I will let you live fifteen years longer. I will rescue you and this city Jerusalem from the emperor of Assyria. I will defend this city, for the sake of my own honor and because of the promise I made to my servant David…” 2 Kings 20:6 (GNT)

Sometimes the devil tries to play a fast one on us and brings upon us several challenges that will make us waste so many years. Interestingly, he does this very craftily and before you know what is happening five years are already gone. And when you look back, you are tempted to have many regrets.

However, the truth remains that whatever the devil has done to waste your years, God can undo it and restore all the years that you have wasted. But the question is  do you believe this? Well, you should because our God is able and he knows what to do to help you redeem the wasted years. In the Bible, we see several cases where He restored wasted years and He can do the same for you.

A perfect example of someone whose years were restored was the case of Job. After all the suffering that Job went through after all that Job lost because of the attacks that came on him from the devil, God restored everything. The Bible records saying, “…after Job had prayed for his three friends, the Lord made him prosperous again and gave him twice as much as he had had before. The Lord blessed the last part of Job’s life even more than he had blessed the first. Job owned fourteen thousand sheep, six thousand camels, two thousand head of cattle, and one thousand donkeys. He was the father of seven sons and three daughters. Job lived a hundred and forty years after this, long enough to see his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. And then he died at a very great age…” Job 42:10‭, ‬12‭-‬13‭, ‬16‭-‬17 (GNT). Did you see that? Whatever the devil may have made you lose over time, I want you to know that God is restoring all that you have right now as your eyes behold these words, only believe and let these words become a reality in your heart. Praise God!

Confession for the Day

Father, I am grateful for this wonderful message today that has come to strengthen my faith. I refuse to be discouraged by the number of years that have been wasted, I choose to set my gaze on you who restore wasted years and as I do this, I decree that the wasted years are restored in a hundred fold in Jesus name. Amen!
