“…Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need…” Hebrews 4:16 (NKJV)

Sometimes when people look at their lives, they feel that if they have a better job or a better car, their lives will be better. Some others feel that if they have more money their lives will be a lot more comfortable, so they begin to channel their strength in that direction, thinking it will help them to achieve the things they want to achieve. But after many years of trying and trying, they begin to discover that they are still not able to achieve the things they want to achieve not because they didn’t work hard enough but because what makes men achieve and attain certain heights in life is not just hard work but the grace and the mercy of God.

Beloved, there is nothing wrong in pursuing your dreams or working hard, but you see, you must do it right now. Working hard or pursuing your dreams without accessing the mercy of God, will amount to nothing. What makes men achieve great feats in life is the mercy of God. Sadly, people often ignore this important ingredient and feel it is by being smart alone. Beloved, if you truly want to move to the next level in your life and achieve the things you truly want to achieve, you must make a conscious decision to go for the mercy of God. The mercy of God is what makes the difference, it is what makes every hard work and smart work to amount to something. The Bible says “…it is not of him who wills, nor of him who runs, but of God who shows mercy…” Romans 9:16 (NKJV) Did you see that?

So, as you journey in your Christian walk, it is important that you understand that what you truly need to achieve anything meaningful in your life is the mercy of God and it is for this reason the Bible says “…Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need…” Hebrews 4:16 (NKJV). Hallelujah!

Today’s Rhema

Confession for the Day

Father, I am grateful for this wonderful truth you have communicated to me, I decree today that the grace to pursue after mercy is at work in me and as I do this, I abound in grace in the name of Jesus. Amen!
