“…as they ministered to the Lord and fasted, the Holy Spirit said, Now, separate to Me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them…” Acts 13:2 (NKJV)
Having established the importance of paying attention to what the Holy Spirit is saying to you, you need to prioritize this in your life and be conscious of it. The early Apostle understood the importance of partnering with the Holy Spirit and they yielded themselves at all times so that they could receive required instructions and direction on how to carry out that which God has called them to do. On one occasion the Bible says, “…as they ministered to the Lord and fasted, the Holy Spirit said, Now, separate to Me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them…” Acts 13:2 (NKJV). Did you see that? The Bible didn’t stop there, it says, “…then having fasted and prayed, and laid hands on them, they sent them away…” Acts 13:3 (NKJV).
Meaning their next action was determined by the leading of the Holy Spirit during their prayer and fasting. In the same way, if you would yield yourself to the Holy Spirit, you will surely receive a word for your assignment as a Christian, your calling, your marriage, your business and even finances. So, don’t joke with this season and pay more attention to what God has to say. You might say but how do I receive a word from the Holy Ghost, it is simple! Have less contacts with people this period and study the Bible and other Christian materials this season. Also listen to faith filled messages, because through these materials, you position yourself to be able to receive that word that will change your life completely. Halleluiah!
Today’s Rhema
If you yield to the Holy Spirit, you will surely receive a word from the Holy Spirit concerning what to do and what not to do!
Confession for the Day
Glorious and ever living Father, your word has come to me today to reset my mind. I choose to yield to your Spirit this season, and as I do, every instruction and direction I receive shall be understood and the grace to act on them shall rest on me in Jesus’ Name. Amen!
