“love one another warmly as Christians, and be eager to show respect for one another….”Romans 12:10 (GNT)
One of the things I have noticed with many of God’s people is that they want to be loved and respected, but they are not willing to love others and show them respect. They only want to receive but are not willing to give out which is not supposed to be.
Our Lord Jesus Christ said “…whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets…” Matthew 7:12 (NKJV). Meaning, you should be willing to give to others what you expect from them. If you want others to love you, then you must be willing to love others as well and same goes with respect. The beautiful thing about this, is that when you sow the seeds of love and respect, you automatically commit others to do the same for you.
So as you journey in your walk with God, make it a point of duty to love and respect others. From your family relatives to your neighbors and even strangers out there, learn to love and show them respect and you will not be left out. Don’t try to force people to love you, just do it to others and it will be done to you as well. Remember, our opening text says, “…love one another warmly as Christians, and be eager to show respect for one another…”Romans 12:10 (GNT Hallelujah!

Confession for the Day
Father, I am grateful for this wonderful counsel. I decree this day that the grace to love and respect others genuinely is at work in me and by the power of the Holy, I receive the same love and respect in return in Jesus name. Amen!
