“…And not being weak in faith, he did not consider his own body, already dead (since he was about a hundred years old), and the deadness of Sarah’s womb….” Romans 4:19 (NKJV)
As you journey in your walk with God, one of the major truths you must know about faith is that, it does not deny the fact that you are going through some difficulties. Rather, what it does is deny the difficulties of the ability to keep you down and out. Sadly, many have thought otherwise. They think faith is denying that there is a problem, but that is not what faith is. Faith is accepting that truly there is a problem, but you will not let the problem have any power over you or stop you from pursuing a solution.
So, as you grow in your Christian walk, understand this reality because that is the key to walking in great faith. Papa Abraham, who is the father of faith, understood this truth and he operated in the reality of this truth. The Bible records that, “…. not being weak in faith, he did not consider his own body, already dead (since he was about a hundred years old), and the deadness of Sarah’s womb….” Romans 4:19 (NKJV). Did you see that? He didn’t deny the fact that they were now old and their bodies had become weak. He looked beyond that and kept his eyes on the promise of God. In fact, he didn’t stop there, the Bible says “…He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform…” Romans 4:20-21 (NKJV). His focus was on the promise and not the problem and in the end, he won the battle. Beloved, if you can do this, you will come out victoriously in any situation you find yourself. So, I encourage you today to look beyond the problem and keep your focus on the promise. Remember, faith does not deny the odds, rather it does not allow the odds to be a stumbling block. Halleluiah!
Today’s Rhema
In your faith walk, keep your eyes on the promise and not the problem!
Confession for the Day
My faith is alive and working. My faith does not deny the odds, but it denies the odds the ability to stop me. So, I don’t walk in denial, I just deny the odds the right to stop me from reaching my goals. Halleluiah!
