“…blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly…” Psalms 1:1 (NKJV)

The world today has been plagued with all manner of information, which could either defy a man or edify that man. These information are everywhere, in the newspapers, television, and the internet and lots more, but you must be smart enough to identify the right information that you allow into your life. The reason is because your life goes in the direction of what you are listening to or giving yourself to. If you are fond of following all the news that the news houses have to give, you will certainly end up in fear because all the news you will find out there is bad news. If you are always fond of reading books that contain violence or watching movies that are full of horror, chances are there that you will end up becoming violent or start having nightmares. So to avoid this you must be mindful of the information that you are exposing yourself to because those things become the building blocks of your life and before long, you start living under the influence of the things you have exposed yourself to over the years.

A research was conducted recently and it was discovered that a large amount of the crime and rape cases that has been recorded in the past years, was as a result of influences that came from violent books or movies. You might say but how can this be? Well it is very possible because man is a being that gets easily influenced by just anything. It is in our nature to be easily influenced but you must be smart enough to expose yourself to the right materials so that you can be influenced positively. So I admonish you today, to be mindful of what you are exposing yourself to. Don’t say I can handle it, because that would mean you are putting your confidence in the flesh and the flesh can fail you at any time. Make a conscious decision to stay away from materials that will stir you up in the wrong way. Even when you are tempted to be exposed to these materials, decline and stay away. Cultivate the habit to continually be exposed to God’s word because it has the ability to influence you positively and change you completely for it is written that “…the word is able to build you up and give you an inheritance amongst the saints…” God bless you!

Today’s Rhema

God’s word has the ability to influence you positively and change you completely!

Confession for the Day

Father in the name of Jesus, I take advantage of the word that has come to me today and I declare that I will continually expose myself to your word and nothing else because I know that in doing this, my life moves from glory to glory in Jesus name. Amen!
