Do you know that one of the best things you can do for yourself to live a victorious and fulfilling life is to set your heart right in all that you do? If you were not aware of this, I am telling you now. The reason is that everything about your life begins from your heart. Your progress, success, failures, and victories all begin there.
If you are to be successful in life, it begins in the heart. If a person fails in life, that too begins there. The choice is ultimately yours. If your heart is right, everything will eventually go right for you. However, if your heart is wrong, then everything will certainly go wrong. You must use the Word of God to tune your heart to move in the direction God intends, because that is where life originates.
When I speak about the heart here, I am not referring to the physical organ that beats. I am talking about your mind, which is the seat of your consciousness. It holds the key to your progress, but you must learn how to use it to activate the advancement you need from time to time.
Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. —Romans 12:2 (NKJV)
We are surrounded by negative pieces of information that program our minds in the wrong way. We are often around people and organizations that influence our thinking toward fear or lack. Consequently, you must use the Word of God to deprogram your mind of these wrong things and install the right spiritual programming needed for your progress. When you do this, there is no telling the kind of life you will be able to live.
There are many people today whose minds have been greatly polluted, and because of that, every area of their lives has been affected. I remember counseling a young lady who had suffered a lot of hurt from her childhood to the point that it had completely formed her thinking. She was so bitter and full of rage that every word she spoke stemmed from the toxic condition of her heart.
All efforts to help her think right and see clearly proved abortive. One thing I noticed was that she was not truly free. The condition of her heart had made her a lonely person, and her relationships with others were constantly being sabotaged. Sadly, she could not see it herself.
The quality of life you will live and the liberty you will enjoy are completely dependent on the status of your heart. Therefore, you must get rid of everything that pollutes the heart. Bitterness, hatred, unforgiveness, small thinking, and jealousy all program your heart in the wrong way. Reprogram your heart today with the counsel of God and start thinking right; it will change everything about your life. Praise God!

Prayer
All-powerful and heavenly Father, I thank You for helping me understand that life begins from my heart. Therefore, I choose this day to set my heart right by renewing it with Your Word. I choose to adhere to the counsel of the Scriptures and ignore the counsel of the world in the name of Jesus. Amen!
