“…greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends…” John 15:13 (NIV)

One of the major lessons our Lord Jesus Christ taught us through His death, burial and resurrection is how to walk in love. He was a man who knew no sin but was made sin because of all of us (2 Corinthians 5:21). He committed no wrong but yet He laid down His life for you and me so that we might have life and have it more abundantly. The life that He is supposed to live, He sacrificed it so that we can escape eternal damnation. He paid the ultimate price for you and me because He loved us too much to let us perish eternally.

Now, the sacrifice has been offered and salvation is now possible. But you see, if others are going to know about the message of the Gospel and receive salvation, we must love them enough to tell them about the message of the Gospel.  We must be willing to go beyond our comfort zone to get the message across to them and to bring them to the knowledge of the truth. It is called soul-winning. When we go all out to make the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ known to others, what we are doing is called walking in love. We are demonstrating the same kind of love God revealed to us when He sent Jesus Christ to pay the price for us. Therefore, you must engage in this exercise regularly and when you do, do it cheerfully and confidently because it is the best gift you can ever give to any man. Praise God
