…that I may boldly say, the Lord is my helper and I will not fear what man shall do unto me…” Hebrews 13:6 (KJV)
Having understood the importance of having a fellowship with God and not reciting your prayers, it is important to understand that God is our father and he wants you to relate with Him as such. He wants you to be able to open up and pour out your heart before Him in words not in thoughts. Until and unless thoughts are expressed, they are not valid and cannot make an impact in this world. Your thoughts need to come out of your mouth, where sound will be given to it to make it audible for someone else to make out what you are saying.
In the book of Romans 10:10, the Bible reveals to us that “with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation” which means with your mouth, you have to make confessions if you want to be saved from any challenge in life. So begin today to relate with God as a father and feel free to tell him how you feel, what you want and when you want it. Give it a try and watch what your life will turn into. God wants a relationship with you, not religion.
You might say but, what is the proof that God will hear me when I speak to Him? Well, it is simple. That is where faith comes into play. Our Lord Jesus Christ said something powerful. He said, “And in that day you will ask Me nothing. Most assuredly, I say to you, whatever you ask the Father in My name He will give you. Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full…”John 16:23-24 (NKJV). Did you see that? So, every time you go to God in prayers, always remember that He loves you and wants to answer your prayer. Praise God!
