Turning the page of a Bible

But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does.
—James 1:25 (NKJV)

When you study God’s Word, what do you do with it? Do you study only to set it aside, or do you study with the intention of applying it to your life? Some people study and never act on what they learn, while others avoid studying altogether because they claim they have no time. But the truth remains: if you want the Word to produce the results it promises, you must apply it in every area of your life—your work, your health, your relationships, and beyond.

Always look for where and how to apply the Word. For instance, if you notice demonic activity in your life, do not ignore it. Act on what Scripture says. Jesus declared, “In My name they will cast out demons…” —Mark 16:17 (NKJV). When you respond this way, you demonstrate that you not only read the Word but also believe it. Your actions reveal your belief system; what you truly believe will always show up in what you do.

When you believe something, you are compelled to act on it. In the same way, if you genuinely believe God’s Word, you will apply it where it is needed. Do not treat the Word as a list of instructions; see it as your very life—because it is. As you consistently apply it, you will begin to see tangible changes. Some issues you once prayed about will begin to resolve themselves through obedience to the Word.

I recall a young lady who once approached me for prayer because she struggled with anger. I told her what she needed was not more prayer, but obedience to the Word. She was surprised, but it was the truth. As she began to apply what Scripture teaches, transformation followed. This is how growth happens—by putting the Word into practice.

Make a decision today to move beyond studying into application. As you do, you will see your life move from glory to glory. Praise God!

Today’s Rhema

Don’t just study the Word of God—apply it in your life.

Confession for the Day

The Word of God is my life and my future. Therefore, I give it the attention it deserves and apply it in every area of my life. As I do, I see the results it promises, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
