“…do not judge others and you will not be judged…”Matthew 7:1 (NLT)

One of the things the devil has been doing of late, is to stir people up against the church of Jesus Christ. All manner of things have been said about churches and men of God both things that are false, manipulated and exaggerated. And the unfortunate thing is that believers today are now joining in amplifying these things. Today, when you hear some believers talk about churches and men of God, you will be wondering if they are truly Christians.

However, the question is, is this how God wants us to live our lives? Does God want us to join in this evil that is going on out there? The answer is a very big NO, and the reason is that whatever it is that is been said out there, is not helping the body of Christ to grow and stay united. Instead, these communications are making more and more people lose faith in the Gospel. Many have become confused and some have even left the faith because of some of these controversial issues which sometimes are not even true.

As a believer, you must become mindful of such communications. Never join in speaking against the church or ministers of the Gospel. When you hear such controversial issues out there, always ask yourself this question, is this helping the body of Christ to stay united? If the answer is no, then do not participate in such talks. Our Lord Jesus Christ said something very unique that I will never forget. He said, “…whoever is not with me is against me, and whoever does not gather with me scatters…”Matthew 12:30 (NIV). Did you see that? As simple as this statement, it has stayed with me for many years. Every time, you join in those controversial conversations, just know that you are not gathering with Jesus but scattering. So, to avoid such, you should avoid such conversations. Remember, the church is not perfect, instead, the church is going in the area of perfection. Certainly, there will be issues here and there but our responsibility is to pray and ask God to intervene and not start talking about it as though God has made us judges.

Today’s Rhema

Every time, you join in those controversial conversations, just know that you are not gathering with Jesus but scattering!

Confession for the Day

Today, light has been imparted into my spirit, therefore I chose this day, never to join in discussing controversial issues. Instead, I choose to stand in the gap regarding any matter of concern in the name of Jesus. Amen!
