Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need. —Hebrews 4:16 (NKJV).

One of the lies the devil will make you believe is that God is tired of you coming back to Him again and again for the same thing. I met someone years ago who said he had a problem with those who keep praying—he claimed they were “disturbing God.” He even suggested that God put us here to handle ourselves and that we shouldn’t keep carrying our problems to Him as if He has nothing better to do. When I heard that, I was shocked—because this view is not scriptural; it’s a lie that has invaded many believers’ minds.

Because of that lie, you’ll find believers who have stopped praying continuously. They think they are bothering God and so try to “help themselves.” But our actions as believers must be shaped by Scripture, not by opinions or clever-sounding excuses.

If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land. —2 Chronicles 7:14 (NKJV).

Some might say, “But that’s Old Testament.” The invitation continues in the New Testament. Our Lord Jesus said:

Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light. —Matthew 11:28–30 (NKJV).

Hebrews also reminds us that Jesus understands our weaknesses and invites us to approach God freely:

For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need. —Hebrews 4:15–16 (NKJV).

So never get tired of returning to God in prayer. He wants you to come—and He has already provided the invitation and the grace to help you. Remember Jesus’ words that, apart from Him, you can do nothing; abiding in Him is the source of life and fruitfulness. —John 15:4 (NKJV).

Today’s Rhema

There is already an invitation from God to you, so never stop going back to God in prayer for anything

Confession for the Day

Father, I am grateful that my continual coming to You in prayer is not a disturbance. I choose to come boldly and persistently, trusting Your mercy and grace. As I draw near, I receive help in every time of need, in Jesus’ name. Amen!
