Jesus said to them, “Take care; be on your guard against the yeast of the Pharisees and Sadducees.” —Matthew 16:6 (GNT)

Do you know it’s possible to be led astray by corrupting views, perspectives, and beliefs? Today, there are believers who began their walk with Jesus sincerely but, along the way, came in contact with doctrines and ideologies that made them start questioning the faith and principles of the Kingdom. Instead of returning to God for guidance, they began seeking people who shared and reinforced those same views. Sadly, this path often leads to a complete shipwreck of their faith.

Beloved, God does not want us to handle such matters carelessly. If you encounter something in the Scriptures that you don’t fully understand, or a teaching that doesn’t sit well with you, seek the guidance of the Holy Spirit sincerely—and be willing to learn, relearn, and unlearn. The real challenge today is that many of God’s people are unwilling to do this. Instead of seeking divine guidance, they make assumptions and reinterpret the Scriptures to suit their personal opinions. But it doesn’t work that way. You can’t serve God on your terms; you serve Him on His. You don’t impose your ideas on God—you adopt His.

This wrong attitude is why some believe they can follow Christ and still practice a homosexual lifestyle. This is also the reason some believe they can be Christians and continue to live in immorality, rebellion, pride, and other practices that are contrary to His nature. But that’s not how God has called us to live. He wants us to be fully submitted to Him and to walk in alignment with His Word. Therefore, I encourage you today: submit yourself to God (James 4:7) and hold firmly to His ways. Refuse to be swayed by worldly philosophies or corrupted teachings that dilute the truth of the Gospel.

Today’s Rhema

Submit yourself to God and adopt His ways.

Confession for the Day

Father, I am grateful for this wonderful teaching. I refuse to adopt any belief or perspective that contradicts Your Word. I choose to submit to Your truth, Your will, and Your commands, in Jesus’ name. Amen!
