The world we live in today is full of so many ungodly competitions and many have unconsciously fallen for this deception of the enemy. They find themselves trying to compete with men and in the process they just keep running round circles because man was not meant to compete with men. Everyone has their race to run and therefore it is a big mistake to compete with any man. The race God has called brother A to run is not the same race that God has called brother B to run. So, it’s a mistake to compete with others because if you do that, you will be running a race that God has not ordained for you.
Therefore, the only competition that should exist in your life is a competition with the word of God. The word of God is our model, it is the mirror of God ( James 1:23-25) through which we get to know what God has said concerning us. Your goal should be to pattern your life according to what the word of God has said. Your goal should be to strive to make sure that your life aligns with what God’s word has said concerning every area of your life. When you live your life this way, you won’t miss God’s plan for your life and you will surely arrive at the destination God has ordained for you. So, whatever you do in your journey in life, compete with the word and not with men. Let God’s word be your pursuit and let the standard presented to us from His word become your aim. Praise God!
Today’s Rhema
If you compete with men, you will arrive at nowhere but if you compete with the word of God, you will surely arrive at your destination!
Confession for the Day
Father, I am grateful for your counsel today. Your word shall indeed be my pursuit and nothing else shall come in between me and the word and as I pattern my life according to the word, I am bearing fruits in all areas of my life in the name of Jesus. Amen!
