Called to be Stewards of His Grace

This striking photo was the result of meticulous planning and setup over several days. To create the effect, we used an 8’x8’ foam board with a precisely cut 12”x12” circle at its center. A powerful 700W Softbox Light was positioned behind the board, allowing light to shine exclusively through the circular opening. After fine-tuning the camera settings, the perfect shot emerged. Interestingly, my head wasn’t the original choice for the silhouette, but it ultimately became the most captivating focal point of the composition.

Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms. —1 Peter 4:10 (NIV)

Have you ever been told that God has called you to be a faithful steward of His grace? Are you aware that He is counting on you to bless His children with the gifts He has deposited in you? In case you don’t know, I am telling you now. As a Christian, you have been called to be a steward of the grace of God.

There are quite a lot of things God has deposited in you for the benefit of the church and the world at large. The fact that you don’t know about them does not make it untrue. However, you have a responsibility to discover what the Lord has deposited in you and harness it well so that it can become a blessing to someone.

Many Christians do not recognize this, so they feel they don’t count in the Body of Christ. They feel they are not important, look down on themselves, and never see who God has destined them to be. Amazingly, when they see someone else blessing the Body with their gift, they wish they could be like that.

Unknown to them, God has uniquely endowed them with their own gift that they could use to bless others too. If only they knew! The Bible says:

They do not know, nor do they understand; They walk about in darkness; —Psalm 82:5 (NKJV)

This is the reason I am writing this article: that you may know the things freely given to you in Christ Jesus. The Bible records in our opening text:

As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. —1 Peter 4:10 (NKJV)

Did you see that? Take note of the statement, “as each one has received a gift.” This means you have received a gift. Believe it and discover it because God expects you to use it to bless His people.

You might not see it or feel it yet, but it is there. Through faith, you can search it out and harness it. So, be a faithful steward of God’s grace.

Spend time in prayer concerning this gift and let the Holy Spirit point it out to you so that you can take advantage of it. Refuse to be shy or selfish; remember, it was not given solely for your benefit but for the benefit of others as well. Hallelujah!

Today’s Rhema

You are endowed with grace for the benefit of others!

Confession for the Day

God has deposited in me great and mighty things; therefore, I prophesy that my gift is showing forth and I am making good use of it for the benefit of others. I excel in the area of my gifting, and by the power of the Holy Spirit, God receives all the glory through this gifting, in the name of Jesus. Amen!
