“But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.” — Hebrews 11:6 (NKJV)
Beloved, are you building your confidence in God? Are you doing anything intentional about it? I know this question might sound unusual, but I urge you to pause and reflect on it. If you’re not deliberately strengthening your confidence in God, you will find yourself slipping into fear and doubt—often without realizing it.
Today, many believers are walking in fear instead of faith. Why? Because they are not actively developing their confidence in God. If you desire a confidence in God that is unshakable, you must work on it deliberately, and you must do so daily.
How can you do this? First, by becoming a committed student of the Bible. There are all kinds of Bible readers: some read occasionally, some rarely open it at all, while others make it a daily habit. Choose to be among those who study the Bible daily. This is one of the most effective ways to build your faith and confidence in God. Regular exposure to the Word doesn’t just educate you—it helps you know God personally and makes His presence real in your life.
In addition to Bible study, feed your spirit with faith-filled messages. Remember, “faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God” — Romans 10:17 (NKJV). What you hear consistently shapes your inner man, and the more you hear the truth of God’s Word, the stronger your confidence will grow.
Secondly, cultivate a vibrant prayer life—especially through praying in the Spirit. Praying in tongues not only draws you closer to God, it reinforces the reality of His nearness. It stirs your faith, strengthens your spirit, and creates an atmosphere of boldness and trust.
So I encourage you today: commit to these spiritual disciplines. Engage the Word daily. Pray in the Spirit often. As you do, your confidence in God will rise like a mighty fortress. In moments of adversity, you’ll find your heart anchored in faith, and your life will reflect the strength that comes only from trusting Him completely.
