“…In the same way, you younger people must submit yourselves to your elders. And all of you must put on the apron of humility, to serve one another; for the scripture says, “God resists the proud, but shows favour to the humble…” 1. Peter 5:5 (GNT)
As a believer, one of the things you must deliberately work on is your ability to submit to elders or authority. As simple as this might sound, too many of God’s people are not practicing this truth that can change their lives.
We have too many people today, who are stubborn and rebellious. They have issues with submitting to elders and in their eyes it’s just a normal thing. They see nothing wrong with their lack of submission. They speak to elders the way they like, and, in most cases, they behave very disrespectfully to elders and this has shut down many doors in their lives without them knowing.
However, if you are going to avoid situations like this, it is best that you follow the counsel of the scriptures which says “…you younger people must submit yourselves to your elders…” (1 Peter 5:5). When you honour this word in your life, you will watch doors open for you effortlessly and will move from glory to glory! praise God!
