...the Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters. He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness For His name’s sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me…” Psalms 23:1‭-‬4 (NKJV)

When we take a very close look at our opening text, we see not just the Psalm of David, but we see the confessions of his mouth. Irrespective of all the many battles that David fought, irrespective of all the pressures of leadership, he was still able to say the Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want. He understood the role of God in His life. He had a clear understanding of who God is to him and that led to the confessions that came out of his mouth. I believe strongly that when he made this statement, he must have been going through some things, but in trying to tackle it, he had to reaffirm his faith in the Lord through his words. And guess what David, had an excellent result. He became the only king who anointed his successor before he died. He understood the importance of words and he used it to his advantage. Beloved, do you know the importance of words? What have you been saying with your mouth concerning your life, your job and your finances? You must become mindful of the things that you say now because what you say is what you get. Whether you like it or not, everytime you speak, you are either creating or destroying. If the confessions of your mouth are negative, then you are creating a negative future, but if you are positive, then you are creating a future that you will enjoy. Therefore, I admonish you today to become mindful of what you let out of your mouth. Remember the Bible says “…Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it will eat its fruit…”Proverbs 18:21 (NKJV)

Today’s Rhema

If the confessions of your mouth are negative, you create a negative future, but if they are positive, then you can be sure of a glorious future.

Confession for the Day

Lord, I am grateful for another set of wisdom you have brought to me today. I choose to become mindful of the things that come out of my mouth. I declare that as I make positive declarations I activate a turn around in every area of my life in Jesus name.
