“If, then, you have not been faithful in handling worldly wealth, how can you be trusted with true wealth? And if you have not been faithful with what belongs to someone else, who will give you what belongs to you?” —Luke 16:11-12 (GNT)
Do you want to excel in your Christian walk and enjoy a solid relationship with God? If your answer is yes, you must embrace faithfulness. Faithfulness elevates your relationship with God to a whole new height. It helps you become a spiritually strong Christian, and, perhaps most importantly, it helps you excel in the job market, in marriage, and in all other areas of your life.
Unfortunately, many Christians don’t understand this. They pay little or no attention to being faithful, and they don’t bother to improve in this vital area. This lack of faithfulness robs them of countless opportunities and blessings without them even knowing it. If you want your life to be different, I strongly encourage you today to take faithfulness seriously. Be faithful to God, in your relationships, in friendships, in business, and in everything that concerns you. Make a conscious decision to add a touch of faithfulness to every single thing you do.
Our Lord Jesus Christ told us the parable of three men who were given talents. One received five talents and turned it into ten. Another received two talents and earned two more. However, the one who was given just one talent did nothing with it; instead, he hid it. When it was time to give an account, he had nothing to show for his master’s investment.
That was the height of unfaithfulness. In the end, his master called him a wicked and lazy servant (Matthew 25:26). But to the others, the master said, “‘Well done, you good and faithful servant!… You have been faithful in managing small amounts, so I will put you in charge of large amounts. Come on in and share my happiness!’” —Matthew 25:23 (GNT). Did you catch that? Promotion comes when you are faithful. Therefore, I encourage you today to seriously commit to faithfulness in your life, and it will change everything about you. Praise God!
