root, tree root, tree

“…as you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving…” Colossians 2:6-7 (NKJV)

As you journey in your Christian walk, it is important to understand that you need to be established in the faith. You must grow in your beliefs, convictions, and acts of righteousness, because these are the things that will make you stand even in the midst of unfavorable conditions. If you do not grow in these areas, chances are  that when you face some very difficult moments in your life, you could fall out of faith. I have seen lots and lots of people who change their confession during trials, they lose their passion for the things of the Spirit and, in most cases, stop attending church all because they couldn’t stand the test of time. But something they fail to understand is that Christianity is not a life without challenges. Rather, it is a life of victory even in the midst of challenges.

Jesus never promised us a life without challenges; in fact, He said, “…these things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world…” John 16:33 (NKJV). Meaning there will be trying times, so don’t expect anything less. Only make a conscious decision to stand in faith, and you will emerge a victor. So, begin today to use God’s word to strengthen your faith, your knowledge, and your convictions. Refuse to cower in the face of adversity. Refuse to break under the pressure but set your gaze on the potency of God’s word and use it to work out your salvation. Refuse to stagger at the promises of God but be strong in the faith like Abraham (Romans 4:20–21), and you will be amazed at how far you will go in your life. Remember, no matter what you face or go through, Jesus already won the victory for you. Appropriate it in your life and stay established in the faith. Praise God!

Today’s Rhema

Appropriate the victory Jesus Christ has brought to you in your life and your stand in the faith will be second to none!

Confession for the Day

I am victorious, prosperous and successful in Christ Jesus; therefore, I refuse to stagger at the promises of God because I am fully persuaded that that which Jesus Christ did on the cross, He did for me. Therefore, I declare that I am deeply rooted and planted in the faith in the name of Jesus. Amen!
