Jesus on a throne in heaven with bright light behind

“…Jesus heard that they had thrown him out, and when he found him, he said, “Do you believe the son of man?” “Who is he, sir? The man asked. Tell me so that I may believe in him.” Jesus said, “You have now seen him; in fact, he is the one speaking with you.” Then the man said, Lord, I believe,” and he worshipped him…” John 9:35-38 (NIV).

As a Christian, there must be something you believe in. Your faith must be based on several principles, your faith must have its foundation in something which becomes what you believe and hold dearly. And what you have come to believe and accept becomes the hallmark of your life. You can’t be a Christian and not believe in something. Now, one of the things a Christian must believe is that Jesus is the son of God. A Christian must believe that Jesus died and He resurrected on the third day, a Christian must believe in God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. A Christian must believe in the power of God. What you believe is the tenet of the gospel, what you believe is what you preach to the nations of the world, and it becomes the message that you carry about Christ.

So as a child of the most -high God, I ask you today, what do you believe about the faith? Do you believe in the virgin birth of Jesus Christ? Is there somewhere in mind where you seem to be questioning if it’s true? Do you believe in the fatherhood of God? Do you believe that God is your father? Or are you looking at God as one creature or deity in heaven who has no relationship with you? Remember the Lord Jesus Christ said to us in His word, “…you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free…” John 8:32(NKJV). Do you want to be free in life? Ask yourself about the truth you have come to know, and the truth you have come to believe. That is the beginning of your freedom. Get rid of all doubts. Praise God!

What you know and what you believe is the gospel that is what you will preach to your world!

Confession for the Day

I declare that I believe in the miracle-working ability of God. I believe that God is one, I believe in the Holy Spirit and I believe that Jesus is the son of God. I believe in the virgin birth of our Saviour Jesus Christ and I believe that He died for my sin. I believe that Jesus is the one who was, who is and who is to come. I believe that my saviour lives forever more. Amen!
