“Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me.” —John 15:4 (NKJV)

Beloved, does your daily lifestyle draw you closer to Jesus or take you away from Him? I know this question may sound strange, but it is a major question every Christian should be sincere about in these last days.

Why? Because we are surrounded by activities and schedules that can pull us away from Jesus. And if we are not careful and deliberate, we could end up professing Christianity without a real relationship with Him. Beloved, you must understand that this is not the kind of life Jesus wants us to live. He does not want our Christianity to be a title; He wants it to be an actual relationship with Him, because that is what Christianity is all about. It is a living relationship between God and man. Anyone who misses it here has missed it all.

Therefore, I encourage you to re-evaluate your life and be honest with yourself. Make a conscious decision to begin engaging in activities and schedules that will draw you closer to Jesus daily. Do not be a Christian without a relationship with the Father. Do not be a Christian without a passion for the things of the Kingdom. Rather, be a Christian whose passion for Jesus and the Kingdom is overflowing.

Today, we can literally force many people to come to church or study their Bibles. But that is not how it ought to be. The moment you fall into the category of people the church has to pray for and follow up before they come to church, it means your love for God is faulty, and something must be done about it soon, before Satan takes advantage of you. Make Jesus your priority, and trust me, your life will be better in all ramifications, and you will not be easy meat for the devil to chew. Hallelujah!

Today’s Rhema

Drawing close to Jesus is not an option but a mandate that helps you attain fruitfulness and fulfillment in your life!

Prayer

Glorious King, I thank You for giving me the privilege of becoming Your beloved son. I will continue to abide in Christ now and all the days of my life. And whatever seeks to be a distraction to me is disconnected from me, in Jesus’ name. Amen!
