“Yes, beg for knowledge; plead for insight. Look for it as hard as you would for silver or some hidden treasure.” — Proverbs 2:3–4 (GNT)

When you ask many people how far they intend to go in life, they’ll tell you, “Very far.” But the real question is this: do they have the knowledge required to take them there? To reach certain heights in life, you must be equipped with the right knowledge—there’s no substitute for it.

That’s why it’s so important to pursue knowledge with all your heart. Sadly, many today have stopped valuing knowledge, especially among believers. The average believer barely reads anymore. Some have even taken a complete break from learning, thinking it’s “old school” or no longer relevant. But that is a lie the enemy has sold to many. He knows that when you grow in knowledge, his power over you diminishes. So he works overtime to keep people in ignorance.

But that is not God’s plan for your life. God wants you to crave knowledge with everything you have. The Bible says, “Yes, beg for knowledge; plead for insight. Look for it as hard as you would for silver or some hidden treasure.” — Proverbs 2:3–4 (GNT). Why is this so important? Because “A wise man is strong, yes, a man of knowledge increases strength.” — Proverbs 24:5 (NKJV). Did you see that?

So I urge you today: go for knowledge and let it become a priority in your life. And when we speak about knowledge, we’re not just referring to science or academics—we’re talking about the knowledge of God, of His Word, and of the provisions He has made for you in Christ Jesus. The Bible declares, “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.” — Proverbs 9:10 (NKJV). And true understanding gives you dominion.

Make a conscious decision today to pursue knowledge and grow in it daily. It is one of the greatest assets you can develop on your journey of faith.
