“…it is like a mustard seed which, when it is sown on the ground, is smaller than all the seeds on the earth; but when it is sown, it grows and becomes greater than all herbs, and shoots out large branches…” Mark 4:31-32 (NKJV)
Beloved, do you know that your heart is fertile ground? Do you know that anything that enters into your heart begins to grow? Well, in case you do not know about this truth, I am telling you now and the reason you must know about this reality is that, when you understand that your heart is fertile ground, you become mindful of the things you allow into your heart.
Unfortunately, the ignorance of this truth has put many believers in the wrong spot in life because over the years they have ignorantly allowed much garbage into their hearts and this has brought forth in their lives all manner of complications. Some of the health and financial issues many are facing today are coming as a result of what they have allowed into their heart over the years. Some of the negative addictions that people are facing in their lives today are also coming as a result of the wrong things they have allowed into their hearts and the list goes on.
You might but how can these things be? Well, it’s very simple. The Bible cautiously warned us saying, ”Keep vigilant, watch over your heart; that’s where life starts…” Proverbs 4:23 (MSG). Did you see that? In another translation, it says “…Keep your heart with all diligence, For out of it spring the issues of life…” Proverbs 4:23 (NKJV). This lets us know that life begins from our hearts. The things we are going to experience in life begin from the heart. Therefore, we must become mindful of what we allow into our hearts. Remember, whatever you allow there is a seed and it will surely germinate when it makes contact with your heart. So, become deliberate and expose your heart more to God’s word and promises and your life experiences will be a glorious one. Hallelujah!
Today’s Rhema
Your life’s experiences are largely controlled by what you allow into your heart, therefore become deliberate!
Confession for the Day
Father, I am grateful for this wonderful insight. I choose this day to become deliberate in what enters into my heart and as I do this, I give room for the right seeds to be sown into my heart in the name of Jesus. Amen!
