Sometimes, we are tempted to think that our advantage lies in the society in which we live or in the job that we do. But that isn’t necessarily true. I know that a particular society can play a role in the kinds of opportunities that are available to us. I know that the job or business that we do run can go a long way in giving us an edge, but trust me, all that can be gone in the blink of an eye. This is because nothing in this world is permanent. What might seem stable today can fade away in a few years.
Now, you might ask, where then is our advantage? Well, our advantage is in Christ Jesus. As a matter of fact, it is not just in Him but Him. He is our advantage, and if we have anything to hope or boast about, it is Christ Jesus. That’s why the Bible says, Therefore, as it is written: “Let the one who boasts boast in the Lord.” 1 Corinthians 1:31 (NIV). Did you see that?
So, as you carry on with your journey in Christ Jesus, always remember that your advantage is not in your job or location but in Christ Jesus. Live conscious of this truth every day, and your life will not remain the same. Hallelujah!

Father, I am grateful for this wonderful truth you have communicated to me today. I choose to keep my hope and my boast in Christ because now I know He is my advantage and I am winning every day. Praise God!
