“...So then each of us shall give account of himself to God…” Romans 14:12 (NKJV)

When you study the Bible closely, you will find that there are some things that cannot be negotiated. One of those things is the fact that we will all give an account of ourselves to the Lord someday. As shocking as that might sound, it is the truth. So the question is, are you living in the reality of this truth? Well, you should, because according to our opening text, the Bible says, “...each of us shall give account of himself to God.” Romans 14:12 (NKJV).

Now, this implies that one day we will all stand before the Lord, the righteous Judge, to give an account of the way we have lived our lives while on earth. Those who lived for themselves and never gave attention to God and His mandate for their lives will stand before God and give account. But those who lived for God and gave their time to God and Kingdom work will also stand before God to give an account as well. The question is, what will be your account on that day? Will it be an account that brings glory to God? Will it be an account of how souls were won to Jesus because of you? Or will it be an account of selfishness and how people missed Jesus because of you?

Beloved, you must become deliberate as you continue your journey in this world. Remember that we will all go home some day and so it is therefore important that we become conscious of how we live our lives so that when we stand before the Lord, we will have a good account to give on that day. Praise God!

Become conscious of how you live your life so that you can give a good account on that day!

Confession for the Day

I declare this day that the grace to live right is at work in my life, and through me, advancement shall come to the Kingdom; through me, souls shall be won to the Kingdom and established in the faith; and on that day, when I stand to give an account to the Lord, my account shall be a great one in the name of Jesus. Amen!
