There is nothing that can be hid from God; everything in all creation is exposed and lies open before his eyes. And it is to him that we must all give an account of ourselves. —Hebrews 4:13 (GNT)
As you walk with God in your Christian journey, one of the truths you must wake up to is that whatever you do in this world, you will give account to God for the way you lived your life. Sadly, not many are conscious of this truth, so they live their lives however they want. They do not care who they hurt or whose toes they are stepping on as long as they get what they desire. They ignore the weight of their life choices and the consequences that follow, but the truth remains that God does not want us to live this way. God wants us to live with the consciousness that we will someday give an account to Him.
No matter what you do or how high you rise in life, never forget that choices and actions have consequences and we all must stand before God someday. At first, it may not feel like you are accountable, but at the end of the day, you will surely give an account of your life and actions to God because you did not place yourself in this world. God brought you into this world, and this reality automatically makes you accountable to Him.
The Bible says, There is nothing that can be hid from God; everything in all creation is exposed and lies open before his eyes. And it is to him that we must all give an account of ourselves. —Hebrews 4:13 (GNT). The question is, how have you been living your life? Have you been living with the constant consciousness of giving an account to God?
If your answer is no, I encourage you to begin living with this perspective in mind. It will help you make the right choices, take the right actions, and treat people with kindness. If you have stepped on toes in the past or lived a reckless life, it is not too late to change. Make amends where necessary, apologize where you should, and start making the vital adjustments now. You will surely give an account to God someday. Hallelujah!
