The LORD will save his people; those who go to him for protection will be spared. —Psalm 34:22 (GNT)
The world we live in today has become very dangerous. The events taking place are enough to make anyone fearful, but as a child of God, you shouldn’t be scared because your protection is from God. Unfortunately, many are not conscious of this; instead, they are always looking over their shoulders, living in fear of a potential attack. However, this is not how God wants you to live.
While it is important to be careful and security-conscious, you must never forget that our ultimate protection comes from God. If you are going to enjoy it, you have to become conscious of it. Sadly, many believers don’t realize they can enjoy God’s protection, but it is essential for you to know that He wants to protect you from every form of evil.
As our opening scripture says, “The LORD will save his people; those who go to him for protection will be spared” (Psalm 34:22, GNT). The Psalmist also gave this incredible promise of deliverance and safety:
Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler And from the perilous pestilence. He shall cover you with His feathers, And under His wings you shall take refuge; His truth shall be your shield and buckler. You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, Nor of the arrow that flies by day, Nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, Nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday. A thousand may fall at your side, And ten thousand at your right hand; But it shall not come near you. Only with your eyes shall you look, And see the reward of the wicked. —Psalm 91:3-8 (NKJV)
Therefore, become conscious of God’s protection over your life and refuse to allow fear to creep in.
