“…Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with Him…” Romans 6:8 (NKJV)

One of the beautiful things about the death of our Lord Jesus Christ is that when He died on the cross, we died with Him. I know this might be a hard truth to take in for the religious mind but it doesn’t change the legitimacy of it. You actually died with Him on that cross and when He was raised back to life, you were raised back to life with Him.

Now, you may say that He died many years before you arrived in this world, so how did you die with Him? Well, it is simple. When the first man Adam sinned, sin entered the world and produced death. All men became a sinner because of him, however, when our Lord Jesus Christ came, being the second Adam, His death and resurrection was also accounted to us just as the sins of the first man was accounted to us. That’s why the Bible says “….Therefore, as through one man’s offense judgment came to all men, resulting in condemnation, even so through one Man’s righteous act the free gift came to all men, resulting in justification of life. For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so also by one Man’s obedience many will be made righteous….”Romans 5:18 -‬19 (NKJV). Did you see that?

So, what then is the significance of this? Well, it’s simple. When you died in Christ Jesus, you died to the world and all its corrupt influence that destroys men, you died to the dominion of darkness and its wickedness. Now, you are alive to God and you are no longer subject to the dictates of this world. You are now in a place of dominion, authority and advantage and that place is Jesus Christ. So, rejoice because God has given you a superior life through the finished work of Jesus, your responsibility now is to reign and rule through Christ. Hallelujah!

Today’s Rhema

You have died to the world and its corrupt influence, you are alive to God now!

Confession for the Day

Glorious and ever living Father, I thank you for the victory you gave to me in Christ Jesus. I decree that I am living in dominion and victory, I am living in health and wealth and wherever I go, I subdue because Christ is my advantage. Hallelujah!
