Glowing with light of energy

“…and my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus…” Philippians 4:19 (NIV)

Someone once told me, with all conviction that you can’t have a relationship with God because He is an invisible being. He said you can only have a relationship with things you can touch and feel and actually see. This made me laugh because I realized that when people discover that they are unable to attain several heights in life, they term it as impossible not considering that someone else might already be doing it. Beloved, you can have a relationship with God. In fact, God deals with every one of us uniquely according to the relationship we have with Him. In the bible, God referred to Abraham as His friend, it says “But you Israel are my servant, Jacob whom I have chosen, the descendants of Abraham, My Friend.” Isaiah 41:7 (NKJV). From this account, we see that God had a unique relationship with Abraham, and called him His friend.

This goes to show that every one of us can have a special and extraordinary relationship with God. And it’s not a question of whether we can see Him or feel Him or touch Him because everything we do with God has to be by faith. Faith is the key given to us to be able to relate with God and have a relationship with God. All the people in the Bible who related with God, did so by faith. God called Papa Abraham His friend because Abraham related with Him in faith and you too can do the same thing. Interestingly, when you begin to relate with God in faith, He will begin to reveal Himself more to you and your faith in Him will be strengthened like never before. Therefore, make a conscious decision to have a relationship with God. Don’t just be in Christ, have a relationship with Him and do what needs to be done to keep your relationship with Him alive. Remember, most of the people we read about in the Bible from Abraham to Jesus Christ had a personal relationship with God and so can you. God isn’t far from us, He is closer than we know, and we can begin a close relationship with Him today. Amen!

Today’s Rhema

If the men of old like Papa Abraham, could have a relationship with God, so can you!

Confession for the Day

Father, I am grateful for helping me to understand that I can have a relationship with you. I, therefore, choose this day to ignore the lies of the devil and I embrace my relationship with you today in the name of Jesus. Amen!
